What's the difference between Frontline Plus and Frontline Original?

There are a number of flea control products on the market, many of them that have similar names but how to do you which one is best for your cat?

Frontline is one of the most trusted brands for flea control on your cat. However Frontline comes in two forms, frontline original and frontline plus. So what is the difference between Frontline Original and Frontline Plus?

Frontline Original will protect your cat against Adult fleas only, it will help to prevent Flea allergy dermatitis, and protect against biting lice. It provides fast acting protection against fleas for an entire month. Whereas Frontline Plus contains an extra ingredient: Methoprene that kills all stages of the flea lifecycle. Its works by sterilising the female flea so that she is unable to lay any further eggs and therefore helps to break the flea cycle. Frontline Plus not only protects your cat against Flea eggs, larvae and adult fleas, but also helps to prevent flea allergy dermatitis and biting lice.
