Muscle and Joint
Arthritis (inflammation of the joints) in horses is a common problem associated with show jumping, dressage, racing, or high impact/ work load sports. It usually affects the weight bearing joints in the body like the knees, fetlock and hoofs but can also affect shoulders, neck and back. If your horse is showing signs of stiffness, lameness, or swelling around the joints its best to have a veterinarian examine them for arthritis.
