Dosage

For dogs between 3.1 kg and 20 kg use Drontal® For Medium Dogs, Allwormer Chews

You should be dosing your dog with Drontal® For Medium Dogs, Allwormer Chews every three months, or at the beginning of every season to help control Roundworms, Hookworms, Whipworms and Tapeworms. Treat with Drontal® every 6 weeks in Hydatid tapeworm infested locations. If whipworm is a problem, retreat every 6-8 weeks.

• 3.1-5 kg - half a chew
• 5.1-10 kg - one chew
• 10.1-15 kg - one and a half chews
• 15.1-2 0kg - two chews
• For dogs over 20kg it may be more convenient to use Drontal® for Large Dogs, Allwormer Chews.

Intestinal Worms Treatment Recommendations

Worms can infect dogs in many ways, so i is necessary to;

• treat the dog itself
• reduce the environmental contamination by daily disposal of droppings
• remove tapeworm intermediate hosts eg. fleas
• never allow dogs to feed on offal of any species

How often should I give my dog Drontal® For Medium Dogs, Allwormer Chews?

What intestinal worms do Drontal® Allwormer Chews cover?

Drontal Allwormer® Chews treat and control the following gastrointestinal worms;

• Roundworms Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina.
• Hookworms Ancylostoma caninum, Ancylostoma brazilience (this hookworms is usually restricted to tropical areas in Australia), Ancylostoma ceylanicum, Uncinaria stenocephala
• Whipworm Trichuris vulpis
• Tapeworm Echinococcus granulosus (hydatid tapeworms), Dipylidium caninum, (common flea tapeworm), Taenia spp., Taenia ovis, T. pisiformis, T. hydatigena
• and to control the shedding of cysts of the protozoan Giardia spp. in dogs.

Does not control heartworm in dogs. If worm problems persist, consult a veterinarian.

Can I use Drontal® with other products?

Yes, Drontal® Chews may be combined with other treatments, for example heartworm prevention, flea or tick treatment. Drontal® chews may be given safely to all dogs including old animals, young pups, working dogs and greyhounds.

Can I give Drontal Allwormer® Chews to pregnant/lactating dogs?

• For pregnant and lactating dogs, it is recommended you treat at mating, then 10 days before whelping and at 2 and 4 weeks after whelping. Then continue to treat with Drontal® every 3 months.
• The safety of Drontal® chews has not been investigated during the 1st and 2nd part of pregnancy, and is therefore not recommended during these periods. Use of Drontal® for the 3 day treatment against Giardia spp. infections in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy should be based on a benefit/risk assessment conducted by a veterinarian.

Active Constituents

Each chew contains:

• 250mg FEBANTEL
• 50mg PRAZIQUANTEL
• 49.8mg PYRANTEL as PYRANTEL EMBONATE
