Fidos All Wormer Tablets for Dogs And Cats 2.5-10kg Tablets Treat Roundworms Hooksworms Whipworms And Tapeworms
Active Constituents per tablet:
Praziquantel 50mg/tablet and Fenbendazole 500mg/tablet
Indications
- For the oral treatment of roundworms, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms in dogs and cats, puppies and kittens
- Does not control heartworm
Contraindications
Should not be used in kittens less than 8 weeks of age or pregnant cats
Treatment
- Roundworms- Toxocara canis, Toxocara cati, Toxacaris leonia
- Hookworms- Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma canininum
- Whipworms- Trichuris vulpis
- Tapeworms-Echinococcus granulosus, Echinococcus multilocularis (hydatid tapeworms), Dipylidium caninum (common flea tapeworm), Taenia spp.
- Treats all intestinal worms including roundworms, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms
- Suitable for dogs and cats, puppies and kittens
- Does not control heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis)

Dosage and administration
- These tablets are administered orally either directly or mixed with a treat or food
- Dietary measures or fasting are not necessary
- Absorption may be improved with food
- If the worm problem persists after treatment, consult a veterinarian
Dose Rate
- 1 tablet per 10kg bodyweight
- The tablets are scored to easily divide into quarters
Treatment For Weaned Puppies And Kittens Under 6 Months Of Age
- Tablets should be administered at a dose rate of 5mg Praziquantel and 50mg Fenbendazole per kg bodyweight - equivalent to ½ tablets per 5kg bodyweight
- Treatment should be administered for three consecutive days
Treatment For Unweaned Puppies And Nursing Bitches
- For the control of roundworms, it is important to worm young puppies very regularly, at a dose rate of 5mg Praziquantel and 50mg Fenbendazole per kg bodyweight for 3 consecutive days - equivalent to ½ tablet per 5 kg daily for 3 days
- This treatment regime should be repeated at 2 weekly intervals from the age of 2 weeks for puppies less than 12 weeks of age
- It is then recommended that worming be administered at intervals of 3 months.
- Nursing bitches should be treated at the same time and as frequently as puppies up to 12 weeks of age - thereafter the adult worming regime of once every 3 months is recommended
Increased Dosing For Specific Infections
Adult Dogs
For the treatment of clinical worm infestations administer at a dose rate of: 5mg Praziquantel and 50mg Fenbendazole per kg bodyweight daily for 2 consecutive days - equivalent to 1 tablet per 10 kg daily for 2 days
Adult Cats
For the treatment of clinical worm infestations administer at a dose rate of: 5mg Praziquantel and 50mg Fenbendazole per kg bodyweight daily for 3 consecutive days - equivalent to ½ tablet per 5 kg daily for 3 days
Further Advice
Most common tapeworms of the dog and cat (Dipylidium caninum) is transmitted by the flea - it is important to pay attention to flea control to reduce the incidence of tapeworm and the risk of re-infection
Compatibility
May be combined with other treatments, for example, heartworm prevention, flea and tick treatment
Caution
The stated dose should not be exceeded in pregnant bitches
Consult your vet before treating pregnant bitches for roundworm
