Active Ingredients that Target the Root Cause

• Valerian – Valerian is a plant whose roots have traditionally been used since the 11^th century as a natura; ‘drug’. It’ been shown to reduce anxiety and fearful and aggressive behavior animas.
• Tilia Cordata – Tilia cordata/platyphyllos flowers have been used by many to help treat anxiety, insomnia and restlessness. In South America, Tilia is widely used as sedatives and tranquilizers. In other research, anti-anxiety and anti-depressant effects have been observed in mice after tilia consumption.
• Nutritional Yeast – Nutritional yeast is a powerhouse of essential amino acids, B-vitamins, bioactive minerals, immune system boosters, and powerful antioxidants. B vitamin play important roles in the synthesis and regulation of neurotransmitters, serotonin and dopamine, which are implicated in mood regulation, as well as clinical depression and anxiety.
• Kakadu Plum – Kakadu Plum is an immune supporting superfruit, with the highest natural concentration of vitamin C, 50x more than an orange! It has been tgradionally used to treat colds, flu and headaches. Its powerful antioxidant properties is why it’s a key ingredient in our Stress9 chews.
• L-Theanine - L-Theanine is derived from green tea leaves and is a type of amino acid. It’s known for its relaxing effects on both humans and animals. L-Theanine supplemented diets have been shown to alleviate anxiety triggered by stressful situations such as fireworks, thunderstorms, house guests, car rides and it has shown to help dogs who are scared of sudden, loud noises and help manage and reduce panting, yawning, vocalizing and stress-related behaviours. L-Theanine helps relieve stress disorders, improve mood, and maintain normal sleep.
• Bio-K9 – All our K9 supplements contain Bio-K9, our unique blend of pre-biotic, paraprobiotic and fermented postbiotic containing Arabinogalactan, Saccharomyces Cerevisiae, Lactobacillus Acidophilus D2, Fermented Carrot. Using lactobacillus D2 as a starter culture in the fermented blend facilitates the development of postbiotic metabolites during fermentation, in the same way postbiotic metabolites are produced in the dog intestine. In addition, the large numbers of cells of the strain of Lactobacillus acidophilus left over at the end of the fermentation can be considered as paraprobiotics. Paraprobiotics are inactivated probiotics. Several beneficial effects have been associated with paraprobiotics, including immune system stimulation. Our powder formulation is fermeneted with 47.5Bn CFU per scoop and the cchews with 1 1.9Bn, 5 to 10 times more than other competitors!
• Gelatin – We use Australian beef-gelatin as the ‘jelly’ agent in our health jellies. Gelatin isn’t just a ‘carrier’; it’s also good for dogs, especially ageing ones. For example, it inflammation and breakdown of the cartilage matrix. Collagen in the cartilage matrix and gelatin have a similar amino acid composition and there are indications that the amino acids in gelatin stimulate the synthesis of collagen cartilage. Gelatin contributes to feeling less stiff and lame, and more active.
• Sunflower Oil – Though it might seem unusual, sunflower oil is one of a few plant-based carriers that is safe to dogs and can contribute to your dog’s overall health. Rich in Omega 6, it can improve your dog’s cardiovascular system by reducing LDL cholesterol and reduce inflammation. Naturally rich in antioxidants and vitamin E, A and C, it can help keep your dog’s skin and coat smooth and healthy! Sunflower lecithin also supports cognitive health so a great combination to add in moderation.
• Tapioca Starch – We use a small amount of tapioca starch to form our chew. As a gluten free and grain free substitute, it is ideal for digestion especially for those with upset tummies.
• Vegetable Glycerine – We use organic sourced vegetable glycerine to help keep our chews soft and moist. Technically glycerine is a humectant, and it encapsulates water molecules to keep the food moist and it’s also a great preservative. Beef bones from Australia cattle are boiled under high pressure for more than six hours to extract all the nutrients; the broth is then dried using innovative low temperature processing. They’re packed with trace minerals and a great taste.
