Vitamin K1 (Phytonadione) is prescribed to treat animals that have been poisoned with warfarin or bishydroxycoumarin. (rat poison)
These poisons may cause bleeding problems in the animal. Phytonadione helps to stop bleeding. It may also be used for other conditions as prescribed by your veterinarian.

Dosage and Administration:
Available in 10mg, 25mg or 50mg Doses.
Give Phytonadione (Vitamin K1) to your pet as directed by your veterinarian.

0.5 to 2.5 mg/kg/day in a single or divided dose, or as recommended by a veterinary surgeon.

For maximum absorption of vitamin K1 administer with a mildly fatty meal. Can be crushed and sprinkled on food.

Try to give this medication at the same time each day, preferably prior to feeding.

DO NOT give your pet more medicine than directed.

DO NOT give your pet medicine more often than prescribed.

DO NOT stop giving Phytonadione to your pet without consulting your veterinarian first. Plan ahead to ensure you have the refills you need.

Keep your dog quiet whilst using this product.
Prothombin levels should be evaluated at least every 3 days for 9 to 10 days by your veterinarian.
Storage:
Store below 30°C (Room Temperature).
